Post Office From Hell

I've never encountered a more incompetant group of people. I'm always getting other peoples mail and I don't always get all of my mail. They lose my packages and refuse to take responsibility for it. I try to call, but I think they keep the phone off the hook. One day I called 87 times, and all I got was a busy signal. The whole group just seems to be confused about what's going on there. This is by far the worst post office I have ever dealt with in my entire life!!!

Poor customer service. They deliver your packages when they want to. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will they ever ANSWER THE PHONE. The agents are ALWAYS ILL-MANNERED and offensive.

For some reason there are too few personnel at the counter, resulting in long lines. Also, for some reason they are not properly supplied with various stamps so you often can't get what you waited in line to buy.

loosing mail

Im very frustrated with these mail persons, they are lazy and they do not like helping anyone. Then I had medication sent for my dad to our condo complex according to the mail order the medicine was sent but according to the post office they delivered it but our mail boxes are small that would not fit and they normally leave a paper for us to pick up well its been 2 weeks that it was suppose to be delivered and nobody knows where its at, my dad is a diabetic he's on a fixed income and cannot afford to pay money for his medication, but the stupid supervisor from the post office said he would call my dad back once he investigates and no call. Whats going on? Should they be watched and investigated?

Great Service, Wonderful Staff

This has to be the best post office I have ever been to. The staff is more than helpful. They go the extra mile in answering questions and providing the best customer service. Even when they are busy they never make me feel as though they are anxious for me to finish up so they can rush on to the next customer. They are quick and efficient. Great job Union Post Office staff.

Waited days for my package

My package was suppose to be here by the 11th and it is now the 18th. They told me they delivered it and it never came to my house. A rude employee named deborah was rather snotty to me. They told me that they will call the mail man and "see which mailbox they put it in" . That was 2 hours ago. I have been callingfor the past hr and the line has been busy the whole time. I've had my mail go to different houses plenty of times, you'd think by now they would get the building names correct.

Horrible service

This is by far the worst USPS branch I have ever dealt with. Unfortunately for me it's right across the street. They are normally understaffed. There is a manager ( if you can call her that ) that will periodically waddle out from the back, look at the line and walk away. They actually had the stones to have a posted sign saying "if you wait longer than 5 minutes ask for station manager". This place is a joke and quite possibly the busiest place in America that is losing money.

I have been apart of this post office for years. And a FEW of the workes are very rude. They always send my important mail back and give me junk mail or someone elses mail.I have had to give them back mail so many times its very sad that I have to trust them with my mail. Bottom line. Recently they gave me problems on most recent proof of address but they wouldnt give me my mail to give them the proof. They sent a months worth of mail back stating I moved and left no new address. I went in 3 different times asking for my mail and they knew I wasnt going to move because I was trying to renew my box. They made me pay for new keys after they sent my stuff back.

Phone off the hook?

My phone has been automatically redialing, every 10 seconds from 9:30 AM to 4 PM all day Friday and 9:30 AM to 12 PM today (Sat). Constant busy signal. That's 2520 tries on Fri. and 900 times on Sat. If so many people are calling (complaining?) it's time to get another line or 2.

AMAZING!

I was able to talk to someone from this PO few minutes ago (sorry I was not able to catch his name). He was so polite and helped me out, though I was put on hold for some time I was given a time frame on when he can get back to me and he was even apologetic about it.

Dealing with PO people is no fun at all sometimes but I am glad I was able to talk to a great guy at WEST ALLIS PO.

DISSERVICE

The "service" at this location begins with the absence of parking & goes on to endless lines of "customers" enduring agonizing waits while the understaffed clerks plod along, never bothering to staff up another station to handle the overload. Add to this their "bankers" hours from 10am to 4:30pm, giving people a highly restricted time window to do business there. This is pure "DISSERVICE"!

Horrible Location

This post office is just ran horribly. Who ever is overseeing this post office really needs to be replaced. They seem to be critically understaffed because I have tried to call for the past 3 days and no answer. I (have video proof of this). I went to pick up mail because it can't be delivered to my apartment and I was given mail for 4 different people (about 15 pieces). My last name did not match any of the mail that was given to me. I am worried that the same will happen with my mail.

Your are a business and you should try to help the customer and have them leave with a positive experience. You have competitors and I will use them due to the unprofessional treatment I received . I was told that without my code number no information could be dispensed. I then tried three times to call the Mahwah PO but no one answered. It seems as thought the number was a fax.

In the Republican attempt to privatize the mail, this facility is scheduled or has already been closed as a sorting facility. Now our mail will have to be sorted in Phoenix thus slowing down the mail considerably with the intention of destroying the US Postal Service so that it can be privatized and create great wealth for the corporation that will own it. Many will lose their jobs and once again conservative greed will triumph over the people of the US as we are hurled on a downward spiral into the third or fourth world.

Rude Employees at Haledon PO

We sent a package, Priority Mail, to our family in North Haledon. On the day the package was to arrive, it was delivered to the wrong address. When my son called the Post Office, he was told that the package was in Paterson and he requested that it be redelivered to the correct address the next day. That never happened. He again made another phone call and was told that no such request was made for redelivery and that the package was, in fact, in Haledon. Our family went to the Haledon PO and the employees there were very rude and gave our daughter-in-law a hard time because she did not have the notice, which was stuck in a store front door. They said the package was not at their PO, despite that the tracking information said it was there. Finally, our daughter-in-law was able to obtain the package after arguing with the employees that worked at the front desk on March 2nd. The funny part about this is that the employees never asked her for her ID. This is why the Post Office is in trouble because people are going elsewhere to have their packages delivered safely.

SHUT IT DOWN!!!!

These people at this location do not deserve their jobs here. They must be constantly overwhelmed but upon arriving on a consistent basis, it seems like they just need to paycheck, not service the customers. No one has ANY idea what customer service is, nor do they like the neighborhood that it seems like most of them come from.

People need jobs and then you have an establishment like this and people like this The economy need to save money? Stop looking at transit and attack this HUGE waste of time, money and space. The government needs to look at this entity of theirs here in East New York on Atlantic Avenue and monitor this place scrupulously and fire all of them from top to bottom and use the place for something else! Sorry for the elderly people in the area, however I am certain they do not even enjoy going there. There is a resounding neighborhood 'sigh' when you know the folks at FEDEX sends your package there, or when you have to pick up ANYTHING there.

These incompetant people have lost a package that was to be delivered to me. I was actually watching the tracking on this item and they had the nerve to mark their status as- Delivered. WTF! BAD SERVICE

In the recent past our mail carrier has been awesome. He delivered mail at the same time every day and we almost never recived other tennants mail. In the past 6 mos our mail has been left outside the mail box, deliovered to other tennants or not delivered at all. We live in a building notorious for pilfriging and rummaging in the garbage can. Therefore it is very important that we receive our mail within our mail box. Today I found a letter from my family member who is away from home in the Marine corp. We found that letter opened and on the ground! Shame on you USPS your workes have dropped the ball and have lost the art of servicing the community.

expect delay in getting mail postmarked

Your mail will not necessarily get postmarked the same day that you drop it off at the post office. Even if you drop your mail off prior to 5 pm, the mail is sent to the Pontiac distribution center and is postmarked there. This means there is no guarantee that your mail will be postmarked the day you dropped it off unless you get it stamped at the counter.

missing gift cards

I never received a gift card sent to me for Christmas, 2012. I never received family pictures sent to me in Dec. 2012. I sent my grandson a gift card for his birthday in Feb.2013 and he never received it. I complained to a postal worker at the Russell Road post office and his comment was, "What do you want me to do about it? I can get you a supervisor, but he'll tell you the same thing." Obviously, you can't send gift cards via the post office.

Deliveries

This post office is full of incompetent workers. Several times the mail deliverer has failed to deliver packages. I just get a note saying sorry we missed you. I get home at 6:30 am so I'm always home at delivery time. They never knock on the door even though My apartment is about 7 feet from the mail box. This time I've been without my medications for 2 days. I wish the postal system would just be closed down and let FedEx or UPS take over. Maybe they could do a better job. The Post Office keeps raising their rates and the service gets worse and worse. They should just get out of the business or do some serious house cleaning and get rid of the dead weight.

mailbox rental fee

I'll been at the hospital @ Medical center of central ga since dec 2012. have not check my mailbox since that date. upon checking my mailbox on 2/20/13 I was told that several notices for payment had been place in my box. I am just now checking my mail and there is NO notice here. I was told that I needed to pay mailbox fee plus twenty dollars administrative fee to have my box for another year. I really need help with this problem. I hope you can help. I phoned the Hardwick post office this morning, 2/21/13. I was told the manager was not in. I will phone again this afternoon.

I presented at Window for "Stamps + Money Orders" an envelope size approx 12 x 10, which held a regular unopened envelope, with destination of zip 10003. The attendant refused to weigh and sell me a stamp of around $1, saying that this was not his duty! This happened on 2/19/13 at 4pm.

ALWAYS delayed mail

Worst postal facility In the US. I've lived on Long Island 2 years and have to get every item I receive to add tracking. In two years ive had14, yes--14 pieces of mail-ALL processed through Bethpage that were misdirected , delayed or lost. I've had to call the 1-800 never numerous times yet nothing ever changes. This has to have, without doubt, the laziest most inept employees in America. I cringe everytime I check a tracking number and see its being processed through BETHPAGE... Not uncommon for the same piece of mail to process through the same facility 2 or 3 times either. If people there can't do their jobs-- they need replaced . I've never had this poor service anywhere else I have lived-- CONSUMERS BEWARE!

I spoke with the lady at edible arrangements and she told me she did not know the name or the phone number of the US post office next to her business. Today I found out that edible arrangement also owns the post office and has the same phone number. I am a customer and they could've saved me so much time in my opinion this was rude. This is the worst Post Office ever

I have had a post office box with this area for years. However, within th past two years I have had nothing, but issue with this company. I have called and request to speak with manger, who for some reason is never avaible to speak with me when. I was told once that the manger will call me back, but I never recieved a call back. Not only that for almost two months they had locked my box after I paid them. I have to say I have had a P.O. Box with them for years, but I am closing it out because of the services.

Need help

Always long lines at this post office. Some of the clerks take too long with your transaction. Just put the postage on my item & get me out the door ASAP. This location could also use a stamp machine so u don't have to wait in their long line.

Incompetent!

There is not a single person who can do their job correctly! A package was left in my mail box or me, but no key! There was only a scribbled note from the mailman on the outside of an envelope of one of my bills stating that there was a package. I'm currently calling; I've called over and over, NO ANSWER! This is ridiculous!

Professional, Rapid and Pleasant

We are lucky to have such a nice local post office. It is emaculate, it is efficient, and best of all the people are pleasant and helpful. Who could ask for anything more?:)

Not happy

Every time I purchase something online, and have it delievered to my address. the lazy postman does Not even knock on our door, and leaves the slip, "Sorry We Missed you''! you didnt even knock! why do I have to pay for delievery if the post office can Not do their job!? Its an inconvience to have to drive to post office and wait in line.

Terrible service. When you call they either don't answer or answer then hangs up. Mail always late. They even 'lose' packages. Worse svc ever.

morals down

This post office is horrible although i dont see it as all of the workers fault. Im sure its the powers above,these workers work as if their moral is down they either dont know or arent sure what their future holds with this job,its terrible and it shows on all the workers face and their work efforts and the greedy fat cats. upstairs just keep getting rich.I. understand that technology has. strangled the life out of mailing letters. but theres a bigger picture. If were all to live on this earth and it to be some type of equal balance for everyone the rich,middle class and poor the powers above cannot allow jobs to just dwendle away it can put a strain on everyone including the powers above oneday.

Worst Post Office in U.S.A

Based in my own experience of 12 years using that post office to send unlimited packages , you are the #1 WORST post office of the united state . Not delivering on time, to the wrong places, darmage packages. Horrible Service!!!! I am very sad to see the abuse that you are doing with that community because i am pretty sure if the area instead of Dominican will be White i will not be posting this comment here.

Horrible

Packages are never delivered on time. Notices are a hit or miss, maybe 50% of notices I receive. I have to constantly contact the senders in order to find out if my packages have arrived or I won't know they are available. I have to pick up packages at the post office where the manager and employees are rude. We get mail for previous residents constantly, even though they have put in a change of address and we constantly send the mail back marked "no longer live here".

Only reason why I put 1 star was because I could not submit with zero stars.

Mail Delivery

Know one ever answers the phone 346-1797. Started tring to call from 8AM to 11:15AM. The phone has a busy sound. The phone never connects it is busy all the time. Saturday 2/2/2013 I set on my porch and watch the mailman go down the east side of my street. He never delivered mail on the west side of the street. Why. I know that I had to have mail.....I get to much not to have 1 piece of mail. This happens a lot when my regular mail person has a day off.

Disappointed

Today, even though I have no vote, I would vote to close this facility. Why? I received a voicemail this morning from here informing me that a much awaited and important expressmail package ws there and would be returned if not picked up There was no phone number, tracking number, just a brief msg informing me Since I am in Alaska until Wednesday 2/6 I tried to call and see what options were available to collect this pkg. saving me having to start a process over and spending another $75. I called the national customer service USPS office and received their local number which I have called 11 times today with no ans. found a different local number which goes directly to a recorded MSG. Norway to contact them at all or at leat one they'll respond to. Typical government arrogance

This branch of USPS not only won't answer phones they also tell customers that anyone who makes a mistake on shipping item is flagged as a thief! Terrible customer service, slander about customers, businesses etc.... USPS employees calling customers thiefs! The absolute worst USPS ever.

Incompetence at its Federal Best

The USPS has been going downhill for ages. It's hit a new low. This particular Post Office had held into a package for 2 weeks. I know to call the p o if you're missing a package. Most people don't think to do it. I do give them credit. They did return the package to me.
