No information reallly from the Customer Service Line

I searched for a Barnes & Noble Store in San francisco. I called the Fisfermen's Wharf Store number listed in B&N's web site. The number was disconnected!!!!!! I called the general Customer Service Line. It was easy to get thru but the autimated system was not able to give me nearby stores once I entered my zip code. What a waste of time! No wonder people go to Amazon! What a shame! I would like to see B&N to survive but how?

Poor Response and no Action

I ordered a subscription to "Shotgun News" using gift cards from BN on May 18, 2013, that is over 6 months ago. The order # was 599058851 and the amount of the subscription was $30.17. I have not received any of the publications as of this point in time. I have contacted your service department 5 different times and they were very nice but have not been able to get the publication delivered. I would have to give your service very poor marks on this matter. I am a BN member and am thinking of cancelling that membership over this problem.

Bragging on our Barnes and Nobles!!!

I would like to take this opportunity to brag on our Barnes and Nobles store that we have been customers of since they opened in Shoppes of Wiregrass Mall in Wesley Chapel, Florida. The management is very nice and friendly. The staff is following suit of the management. I always exchange smiles and words of encouragement with all and vica versa. I am very glad to say that they are wonderful. Ms. Nancy several years ago did Story time for little ones and we were there almost every time. My grandchildren will remember her forever. Because of their wonderful treatment to customers, my grandchildren's favorite store from the time of being a toddler playing at the train table to now being very high level for their academic age still count there as their favorite store to go to. We always made it fun and a treat to go and they have kept that mentality. I can only share that the employees at this store deserve the best kudos you can give! Love them all and I love the sales! Blessings..

Discrimnation

Im currently sitting at the Barnes and Nobles located by the Bay Area Mall on my computer. I am getting many stares from the staff as if I am a criminal. My concern is that I frequent this store often especially starbucks. I havent done anything but plug into a socket so my computer dont die while I do research of civil law. They are making me feel very unwelcome in which I do not appreciate. To go even further I am a plus size black woman sitting on the floor ner the child section. There was no other seats and this was the only area I could find a socket.

Efficient by not Friendly

The staff at Barnes and Noble seem to do their jobs with a lack of interest. Things do get done but, the over all 'friendly service' is lacking. There's a coldness througout the store.

No to M. Vick Signing

Dear Barns and Noble, Please reconsider on having Michael Vick at your stores for a book signing. As we try to raise our children to be kind to one another, and all creatures, having a monster like M. Vick at your stores, where we take our children make me wonder what affect it will have on our children. It will change our school districts mind on which book stores we will use to purchase our books for our fundraisings, and for our reading classes. Is it worth the revenue loss to you to have Vick do these signings? Thank you for your time!

BAD BUSINESS

What a shame that such a wonderful store promotes a murderer & abuser.

Having Michael Vick in ANY of your stores to promote his book is the worst business decision.

Your tacit approval of his behavior is abhorrent to me. You have lost this customer.

Customer Relations at lowest ebb

I have tried beyond count of calls and Barnes & Noble Visits to Orange Cal. store...to negotiate the fact I ordered a book from their distributers TWICE, since November 7th. and never received same or could go on line to figure out a refund of this. A book purchased incidentaly almost one month ago by paying for this in cash and have been given the run-around by the store representives every since as to its whereabouts...it certainly was never mailed to my address!
