Poor Customer Service

I used to shop at Penneys but rarely go in now. The sales associates are always very nice but you can never find anyone out on the floor. The only individuals that you can find are at the cashier stand. Very poor service.

Worse ever

Pennys had been a 100+ company and thriving. In less than 2 years Don Johnson has ran Pennys to the ground. If the board of directors dont realize to fire him and maybe try and recover JC Pennys. Don Johnson does not care because he is getting a kick back from Apple so he does not care.

store remodeling

I do not like the remodeling that has taken place at the Charleston Town Center, Charleston, WV, store. I have been there several times since the remodeling and as far as I am concerned it was much nicer the way it was preremodel. The shoe department is more open but it was much nicer before. And the way it is so "boxed" in makes me shudder to think what would happen should there ever be an emergency, especially on the lower level. YUK!! Why the Sephoria department, when there is a Sephoria store in the mall itself. Seems like a total waste to me, but then who am I, except an unhappy customer. Don't know if I will be shopping here ever again. No more sales and only 1 salesperson that I would consider going to and Marty works in the fine jewelry department.

dense sales people

I walked in to the JC Penney in Roseburg,OR and saleswoman asked to help me find what I needed. I asked her where the mens robes are and she directed me down an aisle and to the right. After some time realizing these directions didn't even put me in the mens depts I asked her again. She said "Oh! they're right here." All that time she was standing next to a dept. where the robes were. Asked her supv. about why she gave me an arrogant runaround and she was nonapologetic,snotty and clueless, like the 1st worker.

worst customer service!

wait a whole day for a deliver then go to find out even though they said it was coming in the afternoon and at 8pm still did not have our sofa. Go to find out that is was not even put on a truck and no one had the decency to call us. We needed it before Christmas for family to sleep on. Not acceptable! Customer service is the worst!

Order canceled with no notification

I thought I was the only one but I see another review that says the same thing. Placed an order 11/23. It was coming from the manufacturer and said 1-2 week wait. I was ok with that. I went to the website to check on the status and it said estimated date to ship was 12/14/12. I was so happy!. I called customer service (12/19) and they checked and said that it was already being processed and check today for the link to track the shipment. Went to the website only to find out that my order had been canceled without notify me! I am so angry. I could not even yell at the customer service person. JCP is the worst!

Online order

I placed a order on 11/23 that said it would ship out on or before 12/3 today being 12/8 and have yet to receive my order I called to check on it. To my surprise my order had been cancelled by jcp and no one called, emailed or wrote to even tell me. I will not place another order. Now this close to Christmas I have to try and replace the order I placed with you guys. There is no excuse for horrible customer service!!!!

Christmas Buttons

I use Christmas at store 0702 in El Paso , Cielo vista mall, that Store it is amazing, great customer service and super clean, But when I try to use the Buttons at 2960 el Paso tx. joe battle, that it is diferents story, thta store has two items from each article plus when I present the cupon which I hahve from the button the employee told me thta I can use one cupon per transaction when I payed at Cielo Vista they ask me if I had more I can use more than one for Purchase, That means customer service when I explain the employee from joe battle store he told me that they have different rules that other ones. well this is the last time that I go to purchase to joe battle, I will do return but no to buy , sorry !!!

older shoppers

At a recent gathering, I heard 2 men in their 60s discussing their latest shopping trips to Penneys for a wardrobe update. Neither men could find another man to wait on them and also could not navigate their way through the clothing area. One went to Kohls for assistance and the other went home. Please find a way to help these shoppers who had plenty of money to buy but were uncomfortable and didn't receive appropriate assistance.

Not longer shopping at JCPenney

I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in the direction of JCPenney's or the new JCP. No longer sending catalogs was bad, but I was willing to work with your web site trying to find tall clothing,. Recently I went to multiple stores to simply find Levi jeans in long length - which they manufacture - and they no longer carry them in the store let alone on-line. JCPenney was my favorite store since I was a very tall 8th grader. No longer. I can shop at any number of stores for better quality and price (Kohl's, Macy's) and I can buy directly from Levi going forward. I will no longer even look for shoes, purses, shorts, etc.

And don't even get me started on the horrendous quality of your "custom: drapery.

I would recommend a new CEO before you go the same way as Kmart and Sears.

Bad Experience!!

The store manager didnt return my call after the salon manager did nothing after being told of her employee not being honest and providing quality service. Alivin caper lies and never returns calls he is a pitiful manager.. No wonder sales are dropping .. JCP thinks they are too good. They have forgotten they became big on the backs of little people and now they want to fake it to make .. There merchandise is junk and looks like trash..

Disappointed

I have been a customer of JCPenney's for over 40 years. I have also shopped there at stores all over the US. I have never been so disappointed with a Co. Since the new transformation, I can't bare going into one of the stores. I never can anyone to help me throughout the store. If you have a question, you have to go all the way to the front of the store at the checkout desk. It has changed from being customer friendly to a help yourself and pay at the door, store! The prices are nothing like they have been in the past and they never run sales! I have been reading that sales have been down and I certainly understand why! My entire town is boycotting all the stores. Something must change soon to get back to a family, friendly store with comparable prices. We have a Belk in the same shopping center and they are always having sales on the same brands that Penney's have. So why should I shop at the more expensive store. What was once a packed parking lot, is now empty. Please go back to the old way. The new change has not been for the betterment of your customers. Thank you.

RE>Salon

I had filled out an online application, for the salon at gulfgate mall JCP SALON. Joann the manager called me for an interview. The first time was set up for Sat. at 3pm. I went there and Joann was not there. The person behind the counter saidshe wouldnt be there till 4pm. Ileft her a note to reschedule. I called several days to get another appt. Joann was never around. I finally reached her and setup another interview. I let her know that I have a following of 328 people that have confirmed they will follow me. I have yrs of experience and easy to get along with. I go to the interview and Joann is in a meeting. I waited 30 min. The receptionist told me that Joann and Bob had a meeting and said something about food and drinks. If this is the way the salon is ran Idon't want a job here! This is the worst salon I have ever been too!

1. Don't answer phone (multiple attempts) 2. Leave a message, it is not returned. 3. Write cusomer service help line. 4. Response - forward message to salon 5. No response form Salon 6. Write another email to help line. 7. Sorry, need to call the salon directly 8. Loop back to #1 and repeat....

Two days later, and I still cannot contact them for a haircut appointment. JOKE! How do they stay in business?

What happened!

I am so disappointed with the new look and merchandise of JCPenny. Penny's used to be my go to store for the last 25 years. I can't find anything in there now. The clothes are too trendy instead of having a selection for everyone. Now it is strickly geared for just young people. It is a shame because there are probably others out there that feel the same as I do. Would so love it if you went back to carrying some of my favorite things. So unhappy!!!!

Fantastic!

I've never been much of a Penney's shopper until recently. What lured me in was the advertising (print and tv). So much better than Macy's. Then, when I went into our store (Visalia, CA), the displays were fantastic. I put outfits together because of the displays.I received an ad in today's paper and I'm going there after work to get a skirt I saw (wearing a blouse I bought there last month). Also, the prices are great! I've told friends and they said they miss the coupons. I'll admit, I will go to Macy's first if I have their coupon. Just thought you should know that you now have a new customer!
