Lousy service

I have never posted a complaint about anything till now. Went into store on Sunday oct 6 to try to get costume for my daughter. Was told they "were not opening dressing rooms because of not enough help". This was said by the supposed manager while 3 employees were just standing together talking! Rude and stupid. This was a Sunday only 3 1/2 weeks till Halloween and they have a no return policy! Will never buy from them!

The store locater on their site does not work. I cannot get a live person on the phone. The prices are insane and they did not have what I needed the two times I went into store. Now I tried to get in touch through their main number. I though their computer that answered was connecting me but they did not answer then gave me a weird number to call that is not even a phone number. Weird Horrible and unprofessional. I will never do business with them.

Better Business Bureau

I am not going to mess around with the cronies in the store, I am going to make complain to the Better Business Bureau.of your city so they won't give them licenses to open a store. When I asked for the corporate office telephone they gave me number of some kind of scam deal that said I had won an all expense paid trip to some island, push 1 to talk to someone about it and 3 if you had a question. When I pushed 3 they said we will not talk to you about anything but the trip. That means no questions about anything he said.

I bought a gorilla costume, a month and a half before Halloween, it was the wrong one so I went back the next day to exchange it and pay mor for the right one and they told me there was no way possible for me to do that!!!! I will NEVER shop here again and ill make sure everybody I know is aware of how awful they are! It will be all over Facebook and twitter!!

Don't buy from them!!!

I bought 'foam' skulls on line from Halloween City for an art project. They were not foam they were hard plastic. Returned them in Feb. received an email saying they processed my return and had processed my refund...NOT!!! It is now May. I have emailed their customer service 3 times. I cannot even get the courtesy of a response! Will not deal with again and will tell everyone I know! If I could have I wouldn't give them any stars in the rating!

Don't even bother with returning an item, they won't refund you anyways

This is the worst company ever. I have tried contacting them multiple times with no response. I purchased two costumes from them, and had to return one because it didn't fit. I returned it quickly to make sure I made the return deadline. Then, about a week and a half later, Halloween City e-mailed me to notify me my returned had been processed. When I checked my bank account, there was no evidence of a refund. I checked a week later. Still nothing. Two weeks later. Still no sign of a refund.

I notified them right after the first e-mail that I did not think the refund went through. Now, here I am a month and a half later, out my money and out a costume I could have sold else where ...

Pathetic Company---The Worst!

I can honestly say that after working here for just 2 months, this job has ruined me on any further retail job in the future. It showed me how corporations will manipulate their business for the bottom line, and how they don’t and didn’t care about anybody or anything except the bottom line. We were robbed on the morning of Halloween—the day after the busiest sale day of the year. Did this company care about what the employees went through? NO! They interrogated and harassed them and offered nothing. When given the opportunity weeks ago? Management refused FREE security from a volunteer retired Police Officer. PATHETIC! Go to Hell Halloween City/Party City.

Additionally, this company breaks every California Labor Law by hiring idiots that don't implement the laws and then Corporate appears to act as if they didn't know the Labor laws. After 25 years of business, you think they would “know” the labor laws! Nope. They pretend they don’t so they can get away with not paying the penalty for no breaks. Additionally, there was Horrible upper management—an unstable GM was hired, and the District Manger ignored as much of it as he could just to get through the season and get his bonus. We gave Customers horrible service--just horrible. I really don't know how this company goes on. It's not because of their good workings, but the employees that are decent people who bring themselves and common sense to their work, because it certainly has nothing do with this company. There was no training provided to employees. People were thrown into work with zero training. This company is the worst retail store I have ever encountered. Don't work there. Don't give it your business.

This is for the store in Davie, FL. My husband and I purchased two costumes at 30 dollars a piece. I had a hard copy coupon for 20% off and an additional coupon on my phone. The young man that was working at the register had told me that the coupon on my phone was unable to be processed which I understand because a lot of retail stores do not have the technology to read qr codes or such. What I didn't understand was why he asked me if I took the hard copy coupon next to his register!!! He said customers are taking coupons. I was in disbelief that he asked me if I STOLE one of his coupons. Sorry but after spending 53 dollars, I'm unsatisfied with the outcome. My halloween costume is poorly made, ripping, and I don't recommend any one to shop here. Party City is across the street and they have better costumer service and quality costumes. Happy Halloween!

They don't answer or return emails

Sent four emails and left 4 voice mails about items that were missing from my order. I was charged for them, didn't receive them. Still no answer. My first box came damaged, second came empty. Shipping and customer service deptartments both are horrible. AVOID this company!
