worse than Mels Diner

Store had great entertainment value but food service was lousy. Every table had wrong items served or omitted items, which by time corrected rest of food cold.No one appeared to be in charge, employees spent more time arguing than giving customer service

seating

while traveling the week and week end before the Christmas from Boaz AL to Naples Florida we kept trying to eat at waffle house.. we ate at 3 on the total trip too and from.. seating was a factor.. only 3 booths in and several bar seats.. we don't use bar seats when we dine out so no go at waffle house.. we kept trying and no room in the Inn.Huddle Houses got our business on this trip when we wanted to stop for a quick meal.. No problem with the food at waffle house but when traveling we just don't stand in line to eat.We knew the seating had been down sized locally,(which we don't understand ) but all over and at the Interstate exits.. Get real.

I do have a good review for your Waffle House in Lancaster Ohio it is awesome and all their workers were great....what I need to know if you could send me the information on who to talk to ....to get a Waffle House in our area I believe that it would do great here In our area...I live in Southeast Ohio along the river in Pomeroy Ohio...please send me the information I need or a phone number I could call to talk to someone about it...thank you very much.

Last Waffle House Experience

I went to the Waffle House in Tuscaloosa, AL, near the campus, by Smoothie King. As soon as we walked in and sat down, two of the female African American waitresses immediately walked over and rudely asked to take our orders. We wanted it to go, and they asked us to move from the table, because that's for the people who were going to eat inside. Meanwhile, it was no line of people waiting. They asked us what we wanted. We waited awhile, they brought our orders to us, and they had everything we said we didn't want on there. One of the waitresses overcharged me, and when I asked her why mine was so expensive, she rudely explained why. The reason was that she made my order into a meal on her own. We weren't welcomed into the restaurant, while everyone else was getting excellent customer service. This is definitely the last time I, or my family, will ever visit this Waffle House, or any Waffle House again, in general!

Answering Phone

I can not believe that they even have a hone in The Waffle House in Metter Ga, because they do NOT answer! NEVER at night! We have tried to call to order food so many,many times and they DO NOT ANSWER!! It is sad because this is such a small town and we that work late at the Hotel's and restaurant's want to order food because nobody else is open and when we try to call in an order, they WILL NOT ANSWER the phone!!! And what's even worse is, when we drive there to order they are OUTSIDE SMOKING!!!!! NASTY!!! This has not just started, it' been going on for a very LONG time. I have been there and placed an order to go only to be told that they do not have to go containers.....or, they don't have cheese or something that is crazy....it make's no sense.

Horrible!!!

Horrible!!!! If its raining outside don't bother going into the Waffle House in Okc ok on I-240 and May Ave., it's raining just as bad on the inside. When I asked the employees about it they said "it's always like this when it rains". Really Waffle House? I have pictures of buckets of nasty water on the tables and on the floor catching water. Gross. Nobody wants to eat next to a nasty waterfall coming from the roof with who knows what kind of stuff coming down with it. But I do have to hand it to you guys, you stayed open. I guess money is all you care about. To the poor employees there...stay dry!!! I will never go back to another Waffle House again.

1st bad experience

Today I had my 1st bad waffle house experience. After 20+ years of eating at waffle house today was bad. My waitress had a bug (roach) crawling on her uniform. I killed it she blew it off like it was no big deal. She was upset at cooks because they were slow getting meals out for her. My order and my son's got lost in the mix mine came out well before his. My hash browns were hash blacks and uneatable. His order was good-I don't think they could have messed up 2 waffles. It just wasn't a good experience. I guess the bug crawling on my waitress was the worse part.

Awful Customer Service

This was the worst service ever! I was not greeted when I walked in for starters. from outside I could see a waitress on her cell phone. another was also on a cell phone. the cook was verifying an order with the customer instead of the waitress. I went to the cash register and the waitress says nothing. her cell phone is playing music. I tell her I need to place an order and she says it'll be a while because she counting the register. So I give get a few minutes. no one else tries to help me. the cook gets on his cell phone and calls someone and is fussing.I finally say " does anyone see me standing here. I need my order taken" They negotiated between 5 people before it was taken and when she did take it she said " what do you want?" This crew was very rude and unprofessional and I'm confident that this is not Waffle House standard of service...

Discrimanation towards whites in Sorrento, Louisiana Waffle House

I recorded the wait staff and cook not come to the only 2 white tables in there. We were in there 15 minutes before I started recording the lazy and rude staff at this location.No Hi how are y'all tonight or anything. You can see from the video that neither table with a group of 3 at each table was never waited on. When they realized I was taping them one got really mad and actually followed us out and was hollering things at me. I am thinking about turning the video over to a lawyer and the news stations. The more I think about it the more I think I should let the people see how bad you are at choosing your employees. Rude and nasty people.

YUMMY

I was in the Waffle House in Chattanooga, Tn. on Hwy. 153. The service was great and the waffle that I had was fabulous. It was the Apple/Cinnamon waffle and I was told that they were phasing it out. I would like to rcecommend that you keep this one and actually put it on the menu. The waitress was the one who told me about it.

good waitress

I'm 72, three years retired from The Knoxville News Sentinel after 45 years -- National News Editor for three decades. I eat at the Waffle House, Unit 723, on E. Emory Rd. in Powell, Tn. I eat there 4-6 times a week and I find it a pleasant place to dine and relax. Most of the waitresses are courteous, but I have found one -- Nancy Gordon -- to be among the small group of elite servers I have encountered at any restaurant. I'm not one to write effusive letters of commendation, but Ms. Gordon has been exceptional. Always efficient, always a smile and always a polite, "Goodbye Fred, thanks for coming, see you tomorrow." It's people like Nancy that keep me coming back to this location.

Very disappointing service and poor following of good food practices.

Waffle House in Laurinburg used to be clean, neat, with delicious foods provided with attention to deal. However a friend and I visited this establishment today and expected good food, food handled with sanitary safetys , and relaxing music to listen while we ate.Oh, were we wrong.

WE are saddly dosapppointed on serveral fronts. WE sat where I had a bird's view of what was happening in the kitchen proper. When I saw was a food preparer empty my food onto a plate and patt it downwith his ungloved hangs, I sent the plate back.A nice geneteman came and made me a new ommette and he wore gloves.

W\hen I askd that a new omellet be made because it had been touched without gloveds being worn the original cook stated "I did not touh her food' and when I said yes you did so without weraring gloves he immediatly caMe back with a statement "I always do it that way".

To compoud an already unpleasant experience, Someone then turned on mucic to a hard rock station upon which we immediately got up, paid our bills and left.

In times past we have gone to the Waffle House because it was clean, wait staff were helpful and quiet and music if playing was suitable for an eating establishment.

We will really miss what was up until tonight "our favorite place to get really good bacon and eggs".

Poor Service

I've lived in Columbus GA for 6 years...I always come to wafflehouse on Macon Rd unit 772. Justin has been the BEST server I ever had since coming here...but I have a major concern with a waitress who is rude, loud, unprofessional and has such a nasty attitude...her name is San Jackson...I'm in the here trying to have breakfast now and she's yelling I ain't been here 30 yrs for nothin...she's been rude to her coworkers and snappy and rude to her customers...I HAVE MAJOR CONCERNS WITH HER TREATING PEOPLE LIKE THIS....being a Manager of a 500 fortune company....
