Incompetence

We have been here for hours, totally incompetent staff, several misunderstandings, couldn't get 1 straight answer to any 1 question. Save yourself the time and has the of not coming here. Their excuse was we are short staffed, 1 person left for a family emergency. Well folks if 1 person leaving destroys your team, you have bigger problems.

Hours

I am very sad that I will be unable to find out for myself how good visionworks actually is. I work 9-6 each day and that coincides with visionworks hours. I have been looking for an alternative to LensCrafters and pearl vision. Maybe if they had hours by appointment on weekends? Otherwise I will never know.

Prices at this location are marked up by 25-30%. Plus, the sale folks are very pushy and assumes that everyone with vision insurance is ignorant and should pay whatever they suggest. If you value your dollar, DO NOT go to this location.

Nice and friendly people to work with, they even fixed my old glass's at no cost. Glasses at a reasonable cost. Doctor that did the exam very friendy and took his time. I have to say it was the best exam I ever had. I decided to try this place because Eyeland sold me crap glass's and I am glad I did.

Still Waiting

Went to get an eye exam on a saturday morning. The lady told me that my insurance company was closed on the weekends and she would have to wait until Monday to verify my insurance. I called BS but, whatever, i wasn't in a hurry, so i waited.....and waited....and waited. Here we are more than a month later. No email, no phone call, no nothing. Now my glasses are completely broken. They don't know how to serve their customers.

epic fail, shoddy customer service

I told the saleswoman I was moving across country and needed my sunglasses for the drive before I left in 17 days, and asked if it was possible. I was assured they would be ready in 7-10 days at the most. I called to inquire after 10 days and was told someone would get back to me. No one did. When I called to cancel the day before I left, they didn't explain the delay but suddenly decided they would be ready the next day and they could overnight them to me. Given their proven inability to follow through, I asked for full refund, instead.

Poor service and bad quality. The tech. bent up my daughter's glasses and tried to say it was already like that. Funny, I had just taken a picture of her 1 hour before and the glasses are straight as can be.

Very disappointed. Dishonest sales people. The service was very poor, only one person working. The women did not get out of her seat to help my daughter with choices. We decided to use her old frames and just get lenses. After one week, the glasses came in and it took 1 hour to cut the lenses. We came back and only one person working and not the tech. He just hands me the glasses doesn't even see how they look on. I notice they are crooked. He tries to fix them bends them all to hell. Then they tell me they came in that way. Left anyway and then noticed they had a scratch on the new lens. Got my money back and went to Eye Dr. They were so helpful as always. They picked out several glasses and daughter choose one within 5 minutes. I will never go anywhere else again!

If this was not a place where my insurance told me to go to, I would NEVER come here. Receptionists are unprofessional and just so cavalier about their service. Don't care how long customers have to wait, they just sit there and chit chat and get to it whenever they get to it. What a waste of my time.

After she finally came back she tried to sell me the lenses that were on the wall that people are always trying on. WHAT A JOKE!

MY WIFE, SON AND MYSELF WENT INTO all get glasses with the understanding this was like a lenscrafters and could get them done right away... Guess what, they had to ORDER every pair of lenses! SERIOUSLY? But then they would have them in 2 days... Also, what is the big pitch with Coppertone polarized lenses they push... I really don't care if the cancer society approves them...Again my guess is why they can ask for 80$ more per script... They said Standard Polarized lenses are terrible but Coppertone is the bomb lol Won't ever go back.

2 for 1 sale

What Happened? I went in with a store coupon that clearly stated Buy one get one free. After picking out two frames at the same price $179 each I was told that my two pair of glasses would now be priced at over $400. The lens were single vision plastic only. I left feeling like I had just tried to buy a used car. "We have a Special today. You get to pay double the price marked." I won't be going back.

Not impressed.

Visionworks is pretty slow and disorganized overall. You have to wait forever to see the doctor, and they make a lot of mistakes. I didn't like the contact lenses I ordered from them, and their customer service was horrible -- they basically told me my only option was to keep re-ordering the same lenses I didn't like the first time.

Horrible customer service!!! Every time I go into this store, I have to wait and wait and wait! It is really ridiculous. I recently went in to pick up contacts (for the second time because my order wasn't ready on time) and had to wait 45 minutes until an associate was free to help me! Why they couldn't interrupt what they were doing (it took 2 minutes! Honest to God!) to just get my overdue order I do not know! I will go elsewhere for sure!

Today I went to the store to have my glasses adjusted. It is just the way it goes when you get a new pair. Things will never be perfecgt down here but it is good to know if you need assistanced there are still customer service people who are there for you.

Awful

I spent an hour there with one of the most incompetent salespeople I've ever encountered. She was assisted by two other incompetent salespeople. Just before I was about to pay, I asked when my glasses would be ready, and he said "two weeks." Are you kidding??? She had forgotten to mention their machine was broken. They also tried to convince me that I owed a co-pay, which I didn't. I went to the Bluebonnet store, was in and out in 20 minutes and DID NOT have to pay the co-pay.

Why go anywhere else?

Visionworks, formerly, Dr. Value Vision located besides Cheddar's in Mt. Juliet. I was a customer before they changed management and had the pleasure of visiting the new one today for lenses after cataract surgery. The store was packed. But it didn't stop them from attending to everyone's needs in a professional manner . I happened to be helped by Jason, the GM. He went over and beyond to satisfy my needs. I strongly recommend this store for all your vision needs. And hey, much cheaper. I mean 2 for 1, that is a great deal.

Liars and thieves

It only took eight months, two visits to a real eye specialist at $200 per visit, calling the manager repeatedly and calling corporate visionworks every day for an entire month to get a refund for glasses with no prescription, that’s right – they sold us glasses with only glass in the frames - according to the eye specialist. They won’t refund “professional costs” of the doctor that didn’t see a considerable eye injury. Be careful. These eye exams are only to sell glasses. Their “doctors” don’t examine anything and will tell you you need glasses even if you don’t.

Very Rude Service

I came in to buy a new set of prescription glasses. The lady that "helped" me was extremely rude, pushy, and over bearing. She told me I needed to buy that day to receive my insurance benefits then changed her story whenever I asked her the same question in front of her manager. The only reason this place is getting two stars instead of one is that they do have a nice selection and reasonable prices. I went to Lens Crafters on the other side of the mall and had the complete opposite experience. They were extremely helpful and nice, although quite a bit more expensive. I'd rather pay more money than ever set foot in this store again.

They lied and overcharged me

I called to make sure they were in network for my insurance and the told me they were, so I scheduled an appointment. After the eye exam, they told me how much the charges were and I questioned them but went ahead and paid because I couldn't remember exactly how much I was supposed to be charged. The next day I reviewed my benefits to see how much the charges were supposed to be. I then called the Visionworks and they then told me that they were not in network and that I'd have to speak to the business manager to dispute my charges. I left 3 messages and no one ever called me back. Avoid them, at all cost!!! They lie and cheat you out of your money!
