Great Customer Service! Very friendly and clean store

Yesterday (7/31/2013) I was in this store at around 1:30pm. I've seen this cashier a few times and every time she has an attitude and is very unpleasant. It's obvious she doesn't wanna be there. Well, after these few times, it makes me uncomfortable and don't wanna go into this store again. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

I really enjoy coming to this store. There is a large variety of products, from party goods and food, to body care and clothing, household items and miscelaneous goods, all very well organized and easy to find in a store that is always clean. I love that I find everything I'm looking for every time I come in. I'm greeted quickly and helped when I need it without complaint or question, and I'm never in line for an unreasonable amount of time. I have fun coming here, and look forward to returning. I would definitely recommend this Dollar General to anyone.

This store is a mess. sh*t everywhere on the floor, cant even push the cart around.

This dollar general is very disorganized, cluttered, carts of product blocking the isles. Sometimes one cart doesn't even have room to fit down an isle. It's not a pleasant place to shop. I'm surprised corporate allows this store to remain open since I would think if the front end is so dirty, the backend must look even worse! This store looks like a flea market.

The female manager with the glasses would not get off her cell phone to get the cashier change when he needed 5's. The worst management i have ever witnessed.

I google this to see what the hours are so I can go spend my money at the Dollar General, and instead of being user-friendly,,,it says that "hours may vary"......what the heck is that,,,??? They come in when they feel like it????

For the most part I am pleased with the dollar store. I have gotten a few items that were not worth the money and broke but for the most part they have a good selection and I go there quite often. However, I saw an airsoft gun in the toy selection and mentioned something about it to the cashier, yet the next week I go in and its still there. Airsoft guns are not toys(it even says it on the back on the warning label), I have been hit with one and it hurts. I have a child and although he does not go in stores without me an older kid may, and that kid may have money with him. I hope this item gets removed from the toy section, otherwise I will have to find another shopping place.

I absolutely love this dollar general their never too busy and they are very organized!!

Parking lot is a mess... flower beds are not taken care of on a regular basis...Needs a trash can and a smoking pod outside, employees are in front of store smoking as much as customers..we love the store but is becoming a mess inside and out

Frustrating!!! Can't find store hours online, "hours may flucuate" is NOT good for business!! Then when you call you get this, "we're sorry but we are helping other customers ...." yadah, yadah, yadah. I guess a drive to Big Lots isn't so bad afterall. At least I know their hours and they answer the calls!

This is the best DG store in Columbus. Great service, inventory and they will even blow up helium balloons for you at $1.00 each!

The employees in the southport nc store are very selective to whom they are pleasant to. I am a regular in the store for 5 yrs. I have never been a rude or unpleasant customer. Not once have i received welcomed service. I have even once notified a store employee that a young boy was stealing. It turned out to be the employees boyfriend and.his friend.. The store needs a complete employee meeting with the district.

This is the cleanest store. The employees are so friendly and the store manager lady is really friendly. I love this store. I would recommend this store to anyone.

This particular location is very disappointing for the lack of customer service. I live near this one, so it is convenient. However, I am appalled each and every time I go in, at the way customers are treated and talked to. It is mostly the older folks and managers that are the rudest. I worked as a manager in customer service for years, and I have never seen anything like it. I never take the time to call and complain, but obviously they know this, because they do not seen concerned by upset customers. I leave shocked everytime by what happens. I have many stories I can tell that would leave you shaking your head.

This Dollar Store is by far the best I have been in. The employees are friendly and they alway have what you need in stock everytime. You get treated like family as soon as you walk through the doors. I really appreciate the employees.

Good service Friendly associates

In comparison to the DG on Watson in Warner Robins and on Hwy 96 in Bonaire, the cashiers here [in Kathleen, Ga] are better AND the store's appearance is great! Finding items are much easier and if there's a long line developing, the cashiers have the courtesy to open a second register and not just pretend they don't notice there assistance is needed. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GIRLS!

I do not go to this particular store because it is always in a mess. Until a few days ago, it had been months since I had stepped inside this store...the only thing that changed were the cashiers. There's more items in the aisles than on the shelves. Is no one recovering? I can only imagine what the stock room looks like. Inventory can not be all that great either.

Every since the local grocery store closed DG is always packed with customers but for some reason never have but 1 of their 3 registers open. This creates enormous lines constantly, which they seem to have little to no concern for. This leads to very frustrated customers, many of which now try to avoid shopping there. With all the business they are generating it would seem that customer service should be extremely important to their business. I truly hope someone higher up reads this and remedies this situation. Sincerely, a daily shopper

This is my favorite of the dollar general stores in the florence area,the employees are cortious and helpful,and altho they do sell out of merchandise on occasion,they are always more stocked then any other dollar gen ive been too,i recommend this store!

This place is dirty, disorganized and unpleasant. I know of one employee that is nice and she is the one i see the least. The manager is rude and she doesnt seem like she has a clue what she is doing. Often times i go in there and i expect to pay a low price for a product but end up getting up there an the price is completely different. Never will i revisit. Also the manager treats the employee i favor like crap.

I am a frequent shopper at the 9355 Greenwell Springs Road Location in zip code 70814. Although the neighborhood has changed, the workers at this location continue to provide excellent service and have upgraded this store to a pleasant and competitive place to shop.

I like the music, and especially the people who work there. Although I have never seen or met the GM, I do know Meka Corley. Meka is an excellent example of a person who respects her employer and her customers. She is polite, well spoken, and is always working (the register, stocking, sweeping, arranging, greeting, etc., etc.) She is unique, and by the way, she is pregnant and has not slowed down a single pace.

Meka, you are the kind of a person that an employer is fortunate to have.

I just moved to byron across the street from this store.So i am in there almost every day there is one man that works at this store did not get his name but he is shory and has hardley no hair a little stocky. Just to let you know i love the way he treats people he is so nice and dont mind helping you look for things you need in this store.i will continue to come to this store for sure ...

The management & staff @ this location make it such a comfortable, happy experience. They are so personal in how they treat everyone, as if all 1 big family. It's totally inviting & I actually look forward to my next trip after going & being treated that way. Also, they will go above & beyond if you need help, or to give advice regarding your shopping experience.

You expect to run in the Dollar General and get what you need. No, not at this store. It's absolutely the most run down Dollar General I have ever been in. The employers have no idea what they are doing and there are never anything on the shelves. I seen a "worker" walking around the store without her shoes on!! There's no excuse for the way this store is ran. It's pathetic!!!

I have been shopping at the Dollar General since they opened. I live in the neighborhood. The manager, Miss Clarissa, is always kind and helpful. She is a benefit to our community and we are blessed to have her. Dollar General, you got yourself one hard working, honest employee.....

This store need a manager and staff who know about how to work with customer. The store is never stocked. Stock is always stacked in isles and no one working there knows anything about the store. The store needs help. It has great potential to be a money maker.

We stopped at Dollar General early Sunday evening and the sales clerk was extremely unfriendly - almost to the point of being rude. Never once did she smile, thank you for shopping, etc. I thought she was just having a bad day but after talking to other people I found out that this is the way she is all the time. Not a good reflection on your store!

I love coming to dollar general way less drama and hassle that you deal with in Walmart you don't have to fight a million ppl and you don't have ppl keying their children ran wild as if they were at home I have never heard a child throw a temper tantrum and scream the whole time even when you get far away from them you can still hear a completely unnecessary fit being thrown hey they make bathrooms for way more than using them when nature calls I can come in the the sh and I am always greeted with a smile and hello how are you I can go directly to everything I need and be done in 30 to 45 mins at most depending on what all I need the staff have always been nothing but polite and helpful the store is well organized and clean and that is very helpful to get it in get done and get home.

It is always clean and organized way more convent that Walmart because there isn't a thousand ppl to fight through and letting there small children run wild as if they were at their home letting them throw temper tantrums screaming at the top of their lungs I don't have to deal with that nonsense here I can go in go straight to everything I need and be out in 30 mins at the most depending on my list the staff has always been polite helpful and always make me smile

Pleasant employees and clean environment

The Broadway location became MY store until recently. The shelves are never fully stocked, so I can never find what I want. The few items that are on shelves, you can't get to it because of all the stacked boxes. You can't get help because the ONE employee is working the checkout. It's very frustrating. Please hire some help.

These people dont pay attention to what they r doing. I went to the store yesterday evening and purchased items and found out when we arrived back home that the cashier didnt put all our things in the bags and charged me for them. What a store!!! Need better cashiers who take care of their customers. Thank you.

This store is a total mess. There are objects in the floor you have to step over,nothing is organized at all and the floor has not be swept or mopped in so long it is terrible. I give this store an F for overall appearance and organization. Get New Management!

This is the worst store ever. The management is horrible. the top two are RUDE and mean to the cashiers there. I even witnessed one yelling at a cashier today for no reason other then doing her job. The management is rude to the customers as well. I will NEVER shop at this store or any other again. Not as long as those two are working for the company.....

I was in the national turnpike store shopping with my kids. There were already toys on the floors in the ailses and the security told me to watch my kids and pointed to the stuff on the floor. the same guy as done this before. I was watching kids. he got up in my face and was really rude. I asked to speak to a manager and she basically didn't listen to my side of the storey, she was also very rude. I spend a whole lot of money there.. not any more. Horriible customer service!!!

The employees' normally say hello right when you walk in. For being such a busy store, the crew keep the store stocked and clean.

This Dollar General is the most disrespectful store of them all. The women who work there all have an attitude problem and are not customer friendly. They are very rude, impatient, and sour. I will never go back to this store, even if I lived next door to them and it was convenient for me. NEVER AGAIN!

I come to this store a lot almost every day and it seems that all the cashiers are outside in front of the store smoking and it sticks plus they are rued and one of them is just down right nasty can't count money has no idea how to run the cash register please do something

I have lived in Carthage all my life and shop at our local Dollar store. It is an embarrassment for anyone to walk in this store! When you walk in the front door you see a mess at the registers , in the isle, anywhere you look . It is almost impossible to find what you are looking for. This is the only Dollar store in Carthage and I like to shop there but I will not walk through the mess so I go to Wal-Mart instead. Please send out a DM to address this problem. Thanks

This store was my favorite DG for the longest time. Always clean & well stocked. Then they switched managers & it went down hill. Empty shelves and filth. Now the old manager is back and a huge difference for the better in just a few weeks. Thank you for bringing her back.

They always greet you as you come in and if you see a worker in the store they are quick to help you find what your looking for. I like the male employees disposition the best.

Chris deserves some type of recognition, because he is so nice whenever i stop by that location, which isn't often, but when i am there he makes me feel like a valued customer, because he has such a kind spirit about him. he is welcome to have my e-mail address, i don't mind. Chris gets your store a 5 star rating.

Horrible customer service. An item was left, very inexpensive, but none the less it was paid for and left. The management team did nothing to make the situation right, did not offer any other type of service or apologize for their mistake. Insisted the item was removed from the store but it was not. They are liars and always show poor customer service anytime I've been to that location. I will no longer return and will be sure to voice that to other customers

No one was in the store to check me out - I waited 10 minutes - the person was checking out a customer when I came into the store - while I was waiting another customer came in - a bell alerts the arrival when we open the door - if there is only one person in the store to work in the back and not be seen by the customers, maybe there should be a bell on the counter. I will find another location to shop at. A dishonest person could have walked out with the items and not paid at all and nobody would have even noticed. I left the items on the counter to alert somebody that I was not helped.

I worked here for awhile and if you ever came into my store you know who I am already... I started working at DG because a friend became the manager and wanted a hand getting the store in shape... Sherrie works 50+ hours a week and puts her heart and soul into each day... and often goes home worried about the week coming up... how ever so many customers know her by name and love her upbeat personality even when she Carrie's the weight of the store on her back.

The rest of the employees work hard to keep up store standards and customer expectations. ... worst thing about the store is that the store has strict limits on hours per week.... thus it can feel extremely understaffed. .. its not by choice trust me... they are doing the best they can with what they have...please keep that in mind....

This store is nasty they really need new management at the Dollar Generals in Odessa everything is scattered all over the store you find food with cleaning items its a mess I stop shopping here.

after 3 visits to the dollar general store in bonaire, i will never return. isles were blocked w/ carts and boxes, enough to where i could not get down the isles. 1st time ok 2nd time a bit more aggrevated, 3 rd time i just walked out. i thought i'd call the store manager to let him know of my 3 time trouble at his store, he did apologize but also blamed it on his employees not showing up. maybe he needs to hire some one that appreciates having a job. or have better skills at an intertview.

This store has got to be the worst store in Mcdonough. There is always only one person in the store from about 1pm to about 7pm. I have never seen such terrible service. If things don't get better it will not be there very long. I went today and left due to the long wait. I really don't understand the problem. I need a job but would hate to work there because everyone leaves mad.

the longest wait ever! then when i got up there, the cashier acted rude and better than me. i know they dont get paid much, i understand. but if you hate your job that much that you take it out on everyone there, its time to throw the towel in. its worth the trip to anywhere that isnt here.

Most of the internet sites are still showing the Dollar General location in Candler, NC as being in Westridge Marketplace. This needs to be updated to reflect the new store in the 1100 block being a Market and also that the Westridge location is vacant.

I have been shopping at dollar general for years. My family and I estimate we spend a minimum of 300 a week with this organization. I have 5 grown children with families of their own. Due to being treated as trying to get over on them by mgr carol I am asking all of my family friend and anyone that I meet to cease doing bs with this organization. Don't know if this will be of significance but I vow to give my most valiant effort. I had been in the store only a few hours earlier. She could have offered solutions to resolve issues such as watching the tapes, checking register tapes and/ or perhaps even letting me remake my purchase which I offered to do. Obviously there was some reason she was unable to find any resolution to the discrepancy this doesn't seem like a stand on principal on her behalf, mine is.

Dollar General on North Church street is my favorite out of all the Dollar Generals around. It might be an older store but I love it because all of the everyday living things is at the front of the store. Shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, deodorant, toothpaste. If you are in a hurry for these things. This is the place to go.

I went to the dollar store ( on W. Adams ave)@ 3 today to get some things. My total was $27.60. I handed the lady a $50.00 bill and .60 cents. I got my bags an walked on out. It's now 6:43... I stopped to get a tea and realized I didn't get my change. ($23)...!! By now.. I'm panicking!!! I called 3 1/2 hours later an the lady said "maam, we were just in the office trying to figure out why the drawer was $23.00 over, we have your money. " I almost cried. Thank you to the honest employee who was working @ 3 on Dec. 3, 2012 and the manager (Lisa) who was there in the evening @DollarGeneral, w. Adams ave. Temple Texas!!! :-) an thank you God, because I sure can't afford to take any losses rite now!!

The longtime employees are the best. Bad experience with store manger. Seem like she had experience in customer service this lady has zero people skills no kind of respect for others no greeting when customers come threw the door the employees were kind but this store manger was plan out rude with myself n others

We love it!

I just want to say how horrible it is that our NEW Dollar Store is so poorly managed. 1. Cigarette butts fill the parking lot in front of the store. No butt disposal available. 2. There is always garbage in front of the store; tonight an empty McDonalds bag lays by the front door; employee smoking on a cigarette out front and does not even volunteer to pick it up. No trash can available outside of building. 3. the store smells horrible inside. My sense of smell is not great but this odor is so pungant even I can smell it;smells like a sewer trap. 4. As I go to the counter to check out tonight; a girl by the name of LIZ is at the counter with her head practically laying on the counter; does not greet me in any way just complains she is so tired; very unprofessional.

My (calling it my- most favorable & closest store!) Dollar General, they know be by name, always help me find items, if I cannot, and friendly & always smiling, no matter what their day has been like. They(staff) always ask me how I'm doing & I do the same with them! "My corner store!" I save hundreds off my shopping bills & they accept coupons, & give each month & you a $5.00 off coupon on your receipts for the upcoming weekend. If I forget mine, they offer me one at the register. I always enjoy shopping there & save money every time I shop there. I also enjoy shopping at Dollar Generals website, & you can print coupons for the store too!
