I have been a renovation contractor for 10 year plus, attending almost daily to a home renovation store. Home Depot has stepped up to the plate with increased customer service, indoor lumber supplies, assistance in loading materials. It appears with the new management in place you can't go wrong leaving your home renovation needs in the hands of the Home Depot.
Recently, Home Depot, who is right next door to Petsmart has banned dogs coming into their store. My dogs have been going in there for 6 years. While I understand the reasoning behind it - I also feel it unfair to ban the dogs who have never caused any trouble and who have done nothing wrong. I will be taking my long-time business somewhere else.
I work in the construction field have been to many Home Depot in many locations through South Florida Most of them are okay But this particular store on University just south of Oakland Park Boulevard Is by far one of the most disorganized stores I've ever seen I would keep my distance from the store and go out of my way to drive 30 miles in the other direction
I paid for a gas detector at the store. Was promised a 5 day delivery. Six weeks later I still do not have it. I moved into a new apartment without that protection. Im glad im ok at the moment:) It was just a little irritating because I really needed within the week. Everyone seems friendly and helpful while in the store. But I dread to call any department in Home Depot, you dont get the same type of customer service. Left on hold every single time. I tried 3 times.

Waited in lumber department looking for an employee to help me gather material from shelf were employee assistance was needed and there was none to be fpund. I retrieved a roll away stair and attempted to help myself when a employee saw this he came to tellme to get down then walked away and never came back with assistance as i waited an additional 10 min. I walked away leaving a full cart of materials and tools behind. While walking away to exit store the same employee watched me as he was hanging out with other employees !
