Great staff, great facility

I visit the 26 Maryland Ave Rockville MD Golds Gym twice a year when we visit our son and daughter in law in Potomac. Maryland.

The staff is attentive and helpful, the facility is well quipped, the experience is always *****.

Gold's Gym website

I am only reviewing Gold's Gym website. I seem to go so many places trying to find the class schedules for Lewiston, Idaho. Maybe there is a quicker way to find it. I usually give up before I ever find it.

cancel membership

the gym is awesome but be careful when you cancel your membership- they will hit you with a fine of $25 if you cancel before 6 months- however it doesn't tell you that when you sign up online. you actually have to ask them to print out your contract at the gym to find that out- which you only get after you've signed up of course...

No Hours

I've been trying to find the hours of operation online but can't. Trying to call the gym to find out but the phone just rings and rings, there is not even a voicemail or answering machine with basic information! The most simple of information and I can't find it anywhere.

Never Join This Club

I have been a member of many Gyms thru the years in many diffrent areas. But i must say, this club didn't mind taking my automatic monthly dues, but when it can time to cancel my membership they Threatened to take me to collections ! Because of a annual fee that gurantees set price for the following year; however i was cancelling well before the annual fee was set to be paid. Its bad enough i am paying one month beyond my cancellation notice, buy then to make someone pay the gurantee rate fee on top of it.i have counted the 90 day BS and read the contract and i am free and clear of this fee.. They are not honest...never had a problem like this anywhere...lots of better gyms to join !!

Golds Gym Arlington Heights MA

So glad to have left this gym. I could not put up with the staff rudness, dirty locker room and exercise areas. I do not recommend this gym to anyone! Staff has a lot to learn about customer service. I was never greeted, spoken to or helped in any way. Glad I found Fitness First where they are very helpful, clean facility, friendly staff...great place to workout!

watch the details about resigning

gym is great - nice people, good equipment, excellent availability. I had difficulty when I moved. I was told I had to some in person and explain why I wanted to leave (I had moved out of town) or send a certified letter stating the reasons. In the meantime they kept deducting the monthly dues. I sent the certified letter and the gym manager denied having received it despite the signed return receipt through US Postal Service. So sign nothing, work out your eventual moving on details, and you will enjoy a good gym

Need to improve

Great selection of machines - if they would be properly maintained. And don't be squeamish - it is dirty and you should plan for a shower afterwards - at home!

Scam artist

This Gold's Gym is aweful to deal with. They tell you one thing, then do the complete opposite. I wouldn't not recomend this gym. When I canceled my contract, my balance showed zero, because I paid it off, and now I'm getting collection calls. The manager got very nasty with me when I tried to talk to him about the situation. He is now telling me I still owe money, and if I pay, it "might" clear up what he is saying I still owe. A contract is a contract, we have to honor it, but Gold's Gym doesn't honor anything!!

Stay away!

negative 5 stars!!!

Signed for a year membership for my family. Contract expired with no effort made to renew but kept charging monthly. I went to the gym in person to cancel the membership for my entire family and staff gave me a form to sign for it. Now they are charging me a different amount and claiming I only cancelled myself, not the whole family membership. Didn't mention any new monthly amount at any point and all still with no active contract! If price changed for anything, isn't it law that both party agrees in order to take effect?

Stay as far away as you can and please spread the words!
