All I can say is wow.... I have Shopped at Meijer for more years than I can remember. I have always done so, because I felt as if I was getting fair deals and I was getting what I paid for.

Im on a diet that the only meat that I can eat basically is chicken breasts. for some reason there is no chicken breasts to be had at any store I went to so I opted for the Frozen food variety thinking how bad can it really be...

When I thawed out one of the bags of breasts (Meijer brand) I was shocked to see that the product weight was 60% water. I took the breasts out and weighed them on a food scale, and there was less then 1/4 of the labeled product weight in actual product.

I worked as a butcher for 12 years and I realize that there is some inherent moisture involved in chicken, but nothing to warrant this ridiculous imbalance.

Putting water in you product is immoral and illegal and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Not to mention the fact that 1/2 of the chicken in the packs looked like they were cut with a hammer.

So far two of the 4 packs that I have bought were in this general condition and I am really mad about this. I can afford to pay roughly 5 dollars for a pound and a half of water.

These practices are despicable .
