defective IPHONE

I upgraded from IPHONE3 to IPHONE4 using my online upgrade option. I received a defective IPHONE4 and was told by tech support that I could take the phone to an ATT STORE for replacement. The store sent me to a corporate owned store. Still no replacement. They told me that ATT sells the phones but does not do exchange or replacements. I had to go to the IPHONE Store to get a new phone. This was after 2 1/2 hours of driving around Orlando and two calls to the tech centers. I had to make an appointment with APPLE and drive the next day to the Apple Store an hour away. Apple couldn't have been more helpful and I now have a working IPHONE.

Hate AT&T

Been with this horrible company for years.Nickel and dime customers with every bill.Government allowed them a monopoly but I am switching to small independents where I won't have to have one hour phone calls consisting of hold time.Had service once in 15 years due to them sending wrong equipment. This is a miserable company.DO NOT sign up with them

Good service, most of the time.

We have issues about every month regarding our bills from AT&T. It's a real hassle and so we are always having to call them because the bills are supposed to be a set amount and we can do nothing different and them go up 100 dollars or more each month. Thankfully most of the time the customer service people have been kind and listened to us, even chatting about our children or random things while resolving as much as we could of the issues. This obviously happens to much, but if you're not rude to them, they won't be to you.

Terrible Customer Service

We are trying to get our ATT digital UVerse converted back to a land line. We have waited for a technician to be a "no show" for over two days. We have been escalated to multiple supervisors. No one will give anything but their first name. No one will take responsibility. I am on hold for 15-20 minutes at a time, to transfer to yet another person, who makes me repeat the whole story over and over again. They act like they are all in India. This is terrible. I will never go back to AT&T for this reason.

looking for a new carrier

As I was looking to switch from my previous carrier, I went to AT&T. after looking into their services, I did not feel that it was the company for me. If you go with at&t they use a set of towers but if you choose to use their GoPhone option, you will not be using the same towers and the services will only be available if there is 4G service in your area. This did not work for me and my family. However, I will say that they were honest and upfront with us.

Canceling

We have had telephone service with ATT since grandparents purchased home. Same number. Service was great up until I was retained with ATT at a lower bill. This obviously effected my internet. It is down many times during the day. Tech support could not help. I purchased wires and did not want to purchase a new modem. Tech said I did not need one anyway. Additionally, I have been promised bill savings and while promised for 12 months, I recently discovered it was two. INTEGRITY!

Goodbye ATT. I will truly miss you.

ATTention: Go Somewhere Else

I hate AT&T. Horrible customer service, over the top prices, phones that are unreliable and don't last. Not worth my time or effort.

Well done!

Unlike most of the comments here, my experience has been very positive. I needed to cancel service for my elderly mother who no longer is able to live on her own. I was directed almost immediately from the automated system to Eve from the Pensacola office who walked me through the steps without incident. She was very polite, personable and caring about my mother's situation. I hope the next person is sent to Eve, your AT&T experience will be positive!

Awful Service

It takes forever to finally get to a representative and they always tell you something and your bill will never reflect that

Horrible/Disgusting Service

I received a letter regarding telling me to call 8663449850 to opt out of AT&T selling personal data and usage and to opt out of Marketing Ads on my cell-phone. I have called that # and it's a never ending loop of an offering for a cruise or a Rebate Voucher. I want to opt-out of the AT&T selling of my personal info/data usage and I can't! I have been a customer of AT&T for over 15 years and this is ridiculous, even the 611 number I call from my phone is sending me thru a never-ending loop. I'm going to post this problem on Facebook and other social networks I use to see if anyone else is having the same problem.

Poor service

I am a first time customer to AT&T. On 7/14/13 I waited over two hours in the Hickory NC store to get help to set-up a new phone account. There were three people ahead of me. I hope this is not AT&T's Idea of customer support.

HORRIBLE SERVICE

I definitely need a new service provider! I have all the same complaints that are expressed on this site. It is unfortunate businesses have lost the meaning of "customer service". Extremely frustrating!!

Terrible Customer Service

I am having a problem with my phone and called the customer servvice number provided - you never get a person, it is just an endless loop sending you back and forth from 1-800-222-0300 and 1-800-222-3000 with no operator to help you. Time to consider another service.

mr

for the past 6 months AT&T has told me each month they. would correct my billowing and account and THEY HAVE NOT, even after stating they would not turn off service until they got back in touch with me they did anyway!this is over a 28 dollar bill I have faxed them a request to contact me three times and have left a dozen messages they have not returned my calls. I don't know what else to do except look in to a lawsuit!

Assistance

When calling, I experienced severe static on the phone line. AT&T cust rep explained that my local service provider had normally supplied filters which plugged into my phone, and filtered static. I put in place a filter, and true to what the AT&T cust rep said, my static was repaired. Excellent customer service!

Worst Service in US

I had ATT Uverse for the last 4 months. There 2 area outages for last 2 months. Network used to drop frequently. Customer Services will hung up on my calls. I waited for 30 minutes on the line just to speak to an Agent. My internet service went on Thursday. When I called in they scheduled an appointment on Saturday. Service men cant fix the problem(he doesn't seem to have any idea). He later scheduled an appointment on Monday, which they postponed again. I called customer service they are very rude. This service is not acknowledging the importance of customers time. We had to wait forever for their reply.

Does anyone really care

Does a decision maker &/or upper mgt really care to even read the constructive criticisms then implement any changes to try and actually improve customer service.

It's gotten worse not better so realistically not.
