BEWARE OF BAIT & HOOK. When my family relocated in April 2013, COX offered a $200.00 gift card. Fast forward to August, and COX informed that "the check is in the mail". How fast would COX be to disconnect if they did not receive that check 2 weeks later, let alone after 6 months? I guess it's just easier to lie than HONOR THE PROMISE THEY MADE
After providing proof I had paid and Cox had cashed all checks pertaining to a six month seasonal account, Cox ignored all correspondence ( certified mail), turned the matter over to collections and sent me a letter threatening to disconnect my home line which was an entirely separate account. Coercion and bully tactics by a corporation who is negligent and unfair. Avoid Cox if you can, but they have a monopoly here!
